My first blog / post... : ) (my very brief motorcycle history)

Thought I would create this blog to document my travels...  Plus allow friends and family to keep up with my latest motorcycling adventures.  Stay tuned as I have many a trip planned for this summer.
Also, my weapon of choice...   a 2012 Harley Sportster 883 Iron.  The so called "girls bike" of the Harley-Davidson range, the anti-touring bike, the smallest motorcycle Harley makes.  Which makes it all the more fun to embark on such travels.

This isn't my first trip around the block, did some touring on my previous motorcycle (Suzuki GSX 650F).  Bought the Suzuki new in 2008 and in two years put 10,000 plus miles driving around the upper east coast.  From Catskills NY, White Mountains NH to Watkins Glenn NY.  My first street bike to cut my teeth on... Great fun and learned many things traveling on said bike.  Number one: traveling 1000 of miles on a sport bike is hard on your body.  Number two: It gets very boring having every other 18 year old kid with a sport bike trying to race you.

So here I am, 2012..   a new bike and a new mission.  Creating a fun, cool Harley 883 sporty for touring.
A small *er*  Harley for riding the mountain road and a nice comfy seat for the ride there.

Recently added a Drag Bar to my bike.   Soon to add a Sissy Bar and Highway Pegs for easier travel.
Hope everything works out.
